LEGISLATION ON EQUALITY IN ANDALUSIA

Organic Law 3/2007, of March 22, on the Effective Equality of Women and Men, as stated in its explanatory preamble, "is a regulatory action aimed at combating all remaining forms of discrimination, direct or indirect, based on sex and promoting true equality between women and men, removing the obstacles and social stereotypes that prevent it from being achieved. This requirement derives from our constitutional order and constitutes a genuine right of women. Still, it is also an element of enrichment for Spanish society itself, which will contribute to economic development and increased employment."
