Biannual legal journal, whose purpose is the investigation, analysis and dissemination of legal sources and activities related to the public Administration of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia (Spain), without excluding studies or documentation related to other powers, institutions or problems of the Autonomous Community itself or other public Administrations for its impact on the scope of interests of the Junta de Andalucía.
The journal has no particular ideological or political standpoint, it exclusively seeks to publish its scientific content in an objective and impartial way, at the service of the general interests of Andalusia, responding to its essential characterization of a scientific, university, free and pluralistic journal.
In 1989, the University of Seville and the IAAP (Andalusian Institute of Public Administration) made an agreement and co-edited the first issue of the Andalusian Journal of Public Administration (RAAP). This journal will be an instrument for disseminating academic and doctrinal work that the University considers necessary to promote Constitutional and Administrative Law. It will also be useful for the reflection and resolution of relevant problems of Andalusian public administrations. The RAAP deals with the legislative changes of direct application, and with jurisprudence related to these changes as a result of the activity of the courts within Andalusian jurisdiction.
The RAAP journal was born with the vocation to take advantage of the human and scientific resources of our Universities addressing issues that have not been illuminated by doctrinal reflection or that require new ways of studies that consider the reforms suffered by the new administrative entities, and providing approaches of innovative analysis according to the Information Society and the new challenges that social changes bring to us.
From the beginning, the journal has not ceased its efforts to promote and disseminate scientific and documentary works of all Andalusian universities. Proof of this is the available editorial volume that has already passed the 100 issues published. The first 50 of them, digitized, are available in the IAAP documentary collection since 2005.
With this project we start a new stage of online editing for the IAAP electronic journals using the open-source software Open Journal System (OJS). We thus inaugurate a vehicle that takes us to the meeting of scientific and research papers published from number 51 to the present, in line with the properties of universal accessibility of the information that the academic society demands from us.
