We are entering into the relevant role played by public authorities as guarantors that the food safety of the different products we consume is effective through their regulation by means of both domestic and international standards, mainly coming from the EU with the famous Regulation 178/2002. In order to know whether what we consume on a daily basis complies with the requirements of all kinds, it is necessary to define the legal regime of the measures taken by the Public Authorities, preferably before food safety is at risk, and not afterwards, then verifying the intervention of the different administrations in this area in order to purify the possible administrative liability that our authorities would have to face if such intervention causes damage or risks that are unacceptable to the population.
