Abstract

In this work, the author analyzes with rigor and detail the most relevant issues arising from Law 16/2002, of July 1, on integrated pollution prevention and control (LPCIC), and the legal problems derivated from its effective application in Spain relying on the doctrine and the existing jurisprudence in matters of prevention and control of industrial pollution.

The work revolves around the technique of integrated environmental authorization established in the LPCIC and is structured in six chapters in which all relevant issues are addressed and, why not say, in some cases more problematic of the law as its competencial and procedural integration.
