Abstract

Law 12/2007, of November 26, for the promotion of gender equality in Andalusia is a neat and ambitious text that was approved by the unanimity of the groups that at that time enjoyed parliamentary representation. It is about this regulation, unchanged so far, that the law approved by the Andalusian Parliament on September 26, 2018, introducesrelevant changes aimed to provide effectiveness to a legal framework that had been criticized for its excessive programmatic nature, and that, in any case, does not adapt to the new social demands that exist in this area.
